Clad in their angel costumes, the kindergarten pupils marched around the Basic Education Complex at Pueblo de Oro for the traditionally practiced Parade of Angels, the first in two years since the start of the COVID pandemic. The parade ended at the de Brebeuf Covered Courts where a Eucharistic celebration presided by the Rev. Fr. Arman B. Samonte, SJ, 8455新澳门路线网址 Basic Education Co-chaplain, and the Rev. Fr. In his homily, Fr. Frank Savadera, SJ, encouraged the kindergarten pupils and their parents to practice the habit of invoking the intercession of their guardian angels in whatever circumstances that they are in and to practice virtues which can make them look like angels to others, especially to the needy and the least fortunate members of the society.
In celebration of the Marian Month, the kindergarten pupils also offered flowers before the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
A mini-family day followed the Mass. Fun, laughter, and energetic cheering filled the venue as everyone witnessed how select pupils and their parents participate in the short program and games prepared by the preschool teachers. The event ended with a fellowship lunch where the families ate and shared the food and treats they brought.

The Angels Day aims to teach the young learners the ‘angelic’ virtues of being kind, gentle, helpful, and prayerful. This is also the community’s act of honoring the guardian angels, the patrons of Xavier University Grade School.
